About the Program
The Green Fellowship brings together individuals from different walks of life, backgrounds, and age groups who are interested in learning more about climate justice and community organizing. Each cohort typically includes 10–12 fellows, creating a collaborative environment where participants can learn from one another while building meaningful connections.
Throughout the seven-week program, fellows participate in educational sessions focused on climate change, environmental justice, and organizing strategy. The fellowship is a paid opportunity, and fellows receive a $3,000 stipend for their time and participation.
Each cohort is unique, and the topics explored may vary depending on the focus of the program that year. Fellows may engage in activities such as community outreach, organizing conversations, and exploring local climate issues through interactive experiences.
A key experience many fellows participate in is the Climate Gentrification Walk, which explores how climate change, development, and displacement intersect within our neighborhoods. The walk helps fellows better understand how environmental changes shape communities and spark conversations about equitable climate solutions.
