Ty (Tyra) Wilson is a dedicated program manager and community organizer based in Decatur, GA, with a strong background in social innovation and psychology. She is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Social Innovation from Agnes Scott College, where she has excelled academically, maintaining a 3.857 GPA. Tyra also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Women’s Studies from Auburn University, graduating Summa Cum Laude.
With experience leading diverse teams and managing large-scale projects, Tyra has successfully coordinated programs that engage over 200 BIPOC community members in climate justice initiatives through her role as Program Manager and Organizer at Sustainable Georgia Futures. She has also spearheaded educational presentations on environmental justice and developed strategic campaigns for community engagement.
In addition to her professional work, Tyra serves on the board of Athena’s Warehouse, contributing to strategic planning and organizational development. Her previous roles include managing a local bookstore and café, where she enhanced customer engagement through creative social media strategies and led a team in delivering exceptional service during peak periods.
Tyra is passionate about social justice, environmental sustainability, and community empowerment, bringing a wealth of expertise in nonprofit management, leadership, and communications to her work. She is also skilled in various administrative tools and platforms, including Google Suite, Microsoft Office, Canva, and WordPress.
